Before my time in the U.S. Army, my passion for information led me to Texas Woman's University, where I earned a graduate degree in Library Science. This program instilled in me the critical skills of research and information discovery, principles that have profoundly shaped my entire career. Early on, I honed my abilities across various library environments, from academic institutions to public and military libraries, providing me with a well-rounded perspective on how information is stored, retrieved and used to bring ideas to life!

I launched my career in the U.S. Army, starting as an enlisted IT Specialist and rising through the ranks to become a commissioned officer. As a Captain (O3) in Maintenance Logistics Management, I cultivated a robust foundation in leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence. I mastered the art of leading diverse teams under pressure, managing over $3.5M in military assets, and orchestrating critical IT infrastructure upgrades. My military service instilled in me a profound sense of discipline and a proven ability to deliver results in complex, high-stakes environments.  

Transitioning to civilian roles, I applied this rigorous approach to significant projects at the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority and The Boeing Company. I managed multi-million dollar initiatives, from office renovations and large-scale procurements to spearheading SharePoint-based knowledge centers for presidential aircraft programs. Subsequently, in federal contracting roles for agencies like the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and the FAA, I honed my skills in leading complex IT and relocation projects, ensuring compliance, security (holding a DoD TS Clearance), and successful delivery for thousands of global users. I consistently took on challenging tasks, from spearheading communication site redesigns to leading critical recovery efforts during system crashes. 

My practical experience is fortified by a Master of Science in Technology Project Management from the University of Houston, coupled with a Master of Library Science. I hold industry-leading certifications including PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Security+, and Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM). This blend of real-world leadership and academic rigor ensures our methodologies are not just effective, but built on a foundation of recognized best practices and continuous learning.
